There is nothing more important than protecting your family! Having health insurance brings peace of mind, but choosing the right plan can be difficult! And what about the cost? At QBS we work with you to find a plan that is cost effective, based on your situation. We will work with you to see if your doctors are in the network and if your medications are on a particular plan. Last, we work with the top insurers in Colorado.
So is it all confusing? Of course it is! But we are here to help! With the new Trump Administration, you need to know two things. First, there is no longer a tax penalty for not having health insurance. Second, pre-existing conditions are covered and will continue to be covered. Annual wellness exams are covered at 100% visits, once per year, or as required, for children.
When can you enroll? Enrollment happens once per year, November 1st - December 15th, for a start date January 1st of the following year. You may also be able to apply December 15th - January 15th, for a February 1st start date. However, If you have not enrolled during these windows of time, you can only get insurance if there is a qualifying event, such as, loss of prior coverage, a move, a marriage or a divorce. If you do fall into one of these areas, you only have 60 DAYS to get new coverage! So please remember this, most people do not know and then they do not know where to turn.
In the event you do not get insurance during Open Enrollment, or you miss that 60 day window you only have two other options.
1. Accident Insurance- Accident insurance is only for accidents. This is a first dollar benefit. You pay either a $100 or $200 deductible then your accident is paid up to the amount that you have chosen, $2500, $5000, $7500, $10,000 and up to $25,000. Premiums for an individual can be $30 to $100/per month If you would like to learn more, or to apply, Click Here.
2. Medical Cost Sharing - With the rising costs of health insurance and an increasingly complex healthcare system, many people are seeking cost-effective and a quality way to manage their medical needs for themselves and their dependents. Medical Cost Sharing has been around since 1995. This is not insurance, but rather, a program that is based on shared beliefs, a religious tradition of mutual aid, neighborly assistance and financial sharing. For more information, Click Here.

Short Term Recovery Care
Many people believe that once they have Medicare, a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement Plan, that they have Stop-Loss protection. However, this is not necessarily true.
Do you have Long Term Care Insurance? If so, you could be protected. If not, here are somethings you should consider.
What happens when you are relying on someone to take care of you? Do you have resources to cover an extended stay in a facility or home health care? Can your children afford these expense or take care of you?
It's hard to admit, but as you age, you are more likely to have a hip knee or back problems. You also have a bigger risk for heart attack or stroke. Extended care is usually needed in these situations.
Medicare DOES NOT PAY FOR:
